The beginnings of Compano
The Compano brand was established in 2019. Leveraging the team's extensive expertise in electric bikes, motors, and batteries, the company aimed to provide Sports Experts and SportChek with a Canadian-designed electric bike featuring state-of-the-art technology. The product is tailored to meet the needs, legislation, and unique realities of Quebec.
Motor adapted for Canada
It was crucial for our team to offer a product specifically tailored for Canada, rather than a compromise between the needs of different countries.
Our legislation permits powerful engines and the use of a throttle lever. Therefore, we chose the rear motor. A sufficiently powerful rear motor (350 watts and up) provides significant advantages: consistent power regardless of gear changes, throttle lever functionality, reduced chain wear, ease of repair, and many more benefits.
